MIRTA KUPFERMINC CELEBRATES 30 YEARS IN ART EDUCATION

A series of exhibitions and conversations on the subject of art teaching and the challenges of art education. The exhibitions showcase the work of Mirta's former students - now independent artists - as well as current students.

Este año se cumplen treinta desde que el taller de Mirta Kupferminc comenzó su actividad. Por allí pasaron cientos de alumnos, muchos hoy artistas profesionales. Celebrando este momento, es que se desarrollara un ciclo de exposiciones y charlas que tendrán lugar desde septiembre hasta diciembre en una conocida galería de arte de Palermo Viejo.

Se realizaran 4 exhibiciones. Las primeras tres están compuestas por grupos de 6 o 7 artistas invitados, todos formados en el taller de Mirta. Algunos de los artistas invitados viven hoy en Brasil y en París. La última muestra es de los actuales alumnos, treinta adultos que asisten en este momento al taller. Habrá además un ciclo de conferencias titulada "La cocina de la Creación”.

'In the palm of my hand'

The well known artist presents a recent series of etchings - with her usual breaking of boundaries and multiple graphic display - exploring the palm of her own hand as a metaphor of life and its relation to the unmeasurable in nature.

A live video conference with the artist and celebrated British writer and critic, specialist in printmaking - Richard Noyce - was webcast from the gallery on Friday April 15 on www.omartegrabado.com
